Skin cancer treatment near Goulburn
Skin cancer can include basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and melanoma.
A person with a suspected or confirmed skin cancer should:
- have their care overseen by a specialist who is a member of a multidisciplinary cancer care team
- attend their first specialist appointment within two weeks of being referred by the general practitioner (GP).
Who to see
The diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer involves a team of specialists. Initial referral for melanoma or complicated non-melanoma skin cancer (BCC or SCC) should be to a dermatologist or surgeon.
