Neuroendocrine cancer treatment near Telegraph Point

Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are rare cancers that start in neuroendocrine cells. These cells are found throughout the body, but most commonly in the gastrointestinal tract (gut), lungs and pancreas.

A person with a suspected or confirmed neuroendocrine cancer should:

  • have their care overseen by a specialist who is a member of a multidisciplinary cancer care team
  • attend their first specialist appointment within two weeks of being referred by the general practitioner (GP).
