Tests and timeframes

  • Initial tests should be performed within four weeks of general practitioner (GP) presentation.
  • If further investigations are required, the specialist consultation should take place within four weeks of the initial GP appointment.
  • Initial treatment should commence within four weeks of diagnosis.
