Initial tests may be arranged by the general practitioner (GP) and may include blood tests and a gynaecological examination.
Cervical cancer - Timeframes
- A woman with suspected or confirmed cervical cancer should be referred to a gynaecological oncologist who is a member of a multidisciplinary team within two weeks
- tests should be completed within two weeks of specialist review
- treatment should commence within four weeks of the decision to treat.
