Chemotherapy Unit

Services provided

The Patricia Ritchie Centre for Cancer Care & Research Chemotherapy Unit - Mater Hospital provides chemotherapy for adult oncology patients. At this service specialist health professionals deliver chemotherapy to patients as an outpatient during the day.

Throughout the course of the treatment, patients will be closely monitored and treated for any side effects that may occur from their chemotherapy.

Patients can access this service via referral. Patients are required to bring the following to their first appointment:
Referral Letter
Latest test results (bloods and histopathology)
List of medications
Medicare Card/DVA Card/Private Health Insurance details
List of questions
If a patient requires any of the supportive care services available please speak to a Doctor or Registered Nurse.
